On Friday morning we set out to check out Brooklyn a little bit and work up an appetite for Catherine’s birthday dinner which was to be held later that evening. A lunch of cheesecake, pickles and pastrami sandwiches at Junior’s probably didn’t help us out too much on our quest.

The Statue of Liberty is something that i’ve never really seen very much of in person. I was there once when i was younger as part of a trip but that’s about it. It’s something that always comes to mind when i think of New York but i never see it when i’m there. From Brooklyn it’s front and center (almost).
