Snow Covered Trees in Montana

We’re getting ready to walk out the door for a night or two in Yosemite (undetermined at this point). I was planning on scanning some more and running some film but i was away for a couple of days at an off-site (work speak for a multi-day meeting).

I still have a few things kicking around from Montana and winter-time-yosemite. This is taken from what amounts to the side of the road. I stopped, put on my show-shoes and walked a couple of hundred yards into the trees in what had to have been 10′ of snow. In my show-shoes it was still coming nearly to my waste.

As i don’t typically shoot in the driving snow or rain i didn’t do a very good job portraying the scene that afternoon, but the wind was blowing and the snow was falling. It was generally blizzard conditions.

More to come. This time last week i was getting soaked by the Bridal Veil Falls. That should be happening again tomorrow.
