We found this creek running along the road (rt. 84 i think) right in the middle of a redwood grove on the way from 280 to pescadero.

After making it through the woods we stopped at my newest most favorite bar. Attached to Duartes this tavern has been there since 1894. So has the jukebox – which is the only jukebox i’ve seen since 1984 that gives you 2 songs for a quarter. If you decide to go bring lots of quarters, it’s fully stocked with enough Merle and Johnny to keep you going for a while.

The day ended with pumpkin purchases and a pumpkin carving party (for leanne) and a night of home depot and amateur plumbing hour for me as i attempted to restore the kitchen to a fully functional cooking area (failed. more on that later)
