South Fork of the Merced River

I’ve been preparing some pictures from a recent trip to Yosemite, we hadn’t been in several years and i brought a couple of different camera systems with me. I’d also planned to shoot some color film which isn’t something I usually do. Most color negative film uses a developing process called C-41. I’ve never done that at home before and have been wanting to do it for a while, to do that I’d first need some color film to develop.

This image is taken on the south fork of the Merced River near the Wawona Hotel. We visited right at the end of the summer and also right at the end of an extended drought. The waterfalls were dry but there was still some water running in the Merced and over by the Wawona the water was flowing clear and cold.
